Glossy Text Tutorial
- First, write out whatever text you want onto your picture/ document. You can change the font settings right now if you'd like. This is how mine looks like.- Go up to Select>>Load Selection and your whole text should be selected now. Make a new layer and using the paintbucket tool, fill in the text with the color white. This is how mine looks like so far.
- Using the rectangle marquee tool, select the bottom half of the text so that it looks like this. Press DELETE on your keyboard, making the bottom half back to its original color. This is how mine looks like so far.
- Go to your layer and change the opacity to something between 10-25%. It depends on what color your text is; I put 12% opacity for mine. The top half should be glossy now. This is how my final result turned out.
